“Mariam is in Laila’s own heart, where she shines with the bursting radiance of a thousand suns.”
What a wonderful novel!
You know, I'm sad. I really am. Injustice hurts. It cuts so deep in our hearts, and it leaves us only for our pain, tears, and blood.
This novel gives you a real pain. It opens your eyes to the fact that there are so many people on this planet who are suffering day and night, and crying - maybe at this very moment.
But, at the end, what the novel wants you to know is that Injustice won't last forever. Death isn't the end. And most important: HOPE is never lost. Or as the writer said: “Mariam is never very far”.
To be honest, at the very beginning, before I even started reading this novel, I didn't expect it to be one of my favorites! But now, I look back at myself and I think: You fool!
I'm so in love with this novel. It's one of the best novels I've ever read.
I strongly recommend it.
